East Sweden Hack is a hackathon where you get to combine Open Data with Internet of Things
This year we focus on Smart Cities. We take on challenges regarding integration, civil environment and transportations, healthcare and medical care and energy and sustainability. Either you can apply to one of our challenges that we have collected from the citizens, or you can come up with your own idea. During two days you get to solve problems, be inspired and learn new things. We make sure that everything around you works so that you can focus on developing your product. Develop your idea with Internet of Things equipment. In the registration you describe if you want to solve your own idea or one of the ten ideas, and how you would like to solve it. You also describe which Internet of Things equipment you think you will need to solve the idea.
Oh, and one more thing: you also get to have a lot of fun and hang around with creative people.

Pre-hack
Pre-hack is an event that is arranged every spring before East Sweden Hack. This year we got inspired by the amazing lecturers Ashkan Fardost and Petra Sundström. We also got some more information about East Sweden Hack: last year’s winner team gave their best advices for the hackathon, the prizes for this year’s hackathon was announced and the partners and sponsors of East Sweden Hack told us about their open data that they provide for the hackathon.
After all this we had dinner in the restaurant at Visualiseringscenter C.
