Partners contribute with their open data and platforms that enable the team to create new products and services to improve our society.

A huge thanks to this year’s partners; Region Östergötland, Linköpings universitet, Transportstyrelsen, Norrköping kommun, Tekniska verken, Linköpings kommun, Actia Nordic, Senion and Spotify.

An extra huge thank you to SICS Swedish ICT, Norrköping’s Science Park and Östsvenska Handelskammaren for contributing as a partner without any open data. Your contributions really matter.

But there would never be a competition without the contributions from a number of other companies and organisations – not to mention the driving forces at ours sponsors’. 80 contestants and 50 Coder Dojo kids places great demands on a functional network and this year we specifically want to thank M.Nu, Combitech, Ericsson and Indentive for their contribution with an excellent IT environment! We are so grateful!

The hack would not be half as colorful without the awesome profile ”Edit & Björnen” has created and processed for us. With help from some of the region’s super communicators from Tekniska Verken, LiU, Stångåstaden, Identx and Illustrera Mera, we have managed to spread our message in more channels and with more medias than ever before. A great thank you to you!

And then there’s all awesome coaches that have been supporting us and the contestants. The data owners that have been on site to answer questions and so have coaches from Makerslink Linköping, Configura and Opera and Wematter sponsored us with 3D prints.

A hackathon of this size take a lot of coordination of service and support to the teams and many of our partners and sponsors have contributed so much to create best hack feeling possible. A special thanks to CoderDojo Norrköping and Linköping for performing a mini hack during Saturday’s events – and to all speakers that brought the message of innovation, open data and Internet of Things during the open seminars. We just love it!

Of course we want to thank all sponsors that have invested in the East Sweden Hack in so many ways throughout the process; LF Östgöta, Stångåstaden, Sankt Kors Fastigheter, Östgötatrafiken, Gaia Systems, Cybercom, Combitech, Dataton, HiQ, Opera, M.Nu, Indentive, Visualiseringscenter, Visiarc, Wematter, Hälsans Nya Verktyg, Interaktiva institutet, Sics EAST, MÖLK Utbildningar, M.Nu, Makerslink, Configura, Skill and Industrikompetens, Dataton, LEAD, LiU Innovation, ALMI Företagspartner Östergötland, Demola, Indentive, Identx.  You guys really rock our world!!!

The cherry on the cake is of course the East Sweden Hack Awards – the ceremony during which the winners are revealed, but also the great opportunity for the developed ideas to be brought in to light and face the reactions from the audience. It is the gala when talents are revealed to each other and in a greater context.

Thank you so much Dataton for hosting the awards for the forth time in your fantastic building and to the brilliant Niclas Söör and Carolina Ohlsson for professionally moderating the event. Your great spirit and mood rubbed off on all of us during the entire weekend.

The region’s innovation actors deserve a great thank for their commitment while engaging in the process when gathering ideas from the public. After the competition, they will take over the baton to bring some of the ideas closer to realization for further usage in our municipalities and in our region. LEAD, Demola, ALMI Företagspartner Östergötland and LiU Innovation are the ones o take on this next sprint.

Last but not least, it is a solid work to create such a project and platform as East Sweden Hack. It is a heavy job to manage the entire arrangement, so a high praise to this year’s project manager Sara Martin. But also a huge thanks to Anna Broeders for recruiting all teams and for involving in practically all areas empowering East Sweden Hack to be such a big success!

So, from all of us in the project group to all of you; many many many thanks![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
